1940’s British Military Portable Twin-Head Floodlights

Also known as “Floodlights Electric No3.”, these lights were manufactured in circa 1940 for the British armed forces to illuminate airfields, command posts, vehicle maintenance depots and emergency staging areas.

We have fully refurbished the stand and lights, then re-wired and “PAT” tested them.

New modern bayonets and lamps have been fitted.

Key features include:

• Dual Adjustable Spotlights: The twin aluminum pods feature heavy-duty steel wire stone guards (cages) to protect the glass lenses from debris, typical of ruggedized field gear.
• Telescopic Metal Tripod: A robust, industrial three-legged stand that allows the array to be elevated for optimal downward light spread across large areas.
• Original Wooden Transit Case: The long, plywood chest is explicitly stencilled "FLOODLIGHTS ELECTRIC NO 3" and includes heavy metal latches and carry handles, designed to endure field transport.
