This is an antique 19th century mechanical rotisserie spit, which we have fully refurbished in our workshop.

The Clockwork mechanism inside the “Jack” turns the rotisserie at a steady rate to allow meat and vegetables to brown evenly on both sides.

It can be used both in front of a fireplace or on top of an open flame, such as a barbecue.
